Thinking about Engineering in Thailand
Caleb: Inside the Engineering

I’m Caleb and I graduated Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business. Growing up, I originally thought I was going to become an architect creating buildings, but taking classes in both basic level engineering and architecture through high school pushed me toward what I believe is a more application based industry: engineering. I wanted to know why things were rather than just knowing they were there.
It wasn’t until the first year at college when I became involved in more hands on mechanical clubs that I decided that designing and creating physical things what I truly wanted to do. From conceptualizing initial ideas to fabrication of prototypes to testing for verification, everything about the design process interested me and continued to do so in my past work experiences.
Moving forward, I hope not only to build upon the skills I already have as an upcoming engineer, but also to see how I can contribute my skillset of designing, manufacturing, and analyzing to other areas in the industry.
Caleb: Outside the Engineering

When I'm not creating robots or thinking about lasers I usually find myself in music. I have been playing guitar for around 8 years and bass guitar for around 6. Since high school, I have always been able to find a small group of friends to form a sort of informal, makeshift band and have performed live on occasion.

Currently I am learning how to play this new instrument of the future called the Dualo Du-Touch. A mix between a keyboard and an electronic tablet called a launchpad, there is very little that I find the Dualo limited to. You play any programmed instrument, record a loop, and play with recorded loops.
